About this author

I write young adult novels with bits of history and brush strokes of romance. I also write poems and short stories, but novels are my passion.

My literary influences are Tolstoy, Gogol, and Dostoevsky. Though my writing style could never be compared to theirs, it is their work that is my inspiration.

I strive to skillfully capture the interest and attention of the reader by creating a story that is captivating and well written. Perfecting my craft will be a life long journey.

My rating system for books will probably vary from many, but I'll give a quick description below.

5 stars is reserved for my very favorite authors and books-Tolstoy, the Bible, Dostoevsky, etc. So not many books get 5 stars from me.

4 stars are for books that I love and wou...more

“Books want to be born: I never make them. They come to me and insist on being written, and on being such and such. ”

“The stories of childhood leave an indelible impression, and their author always has a niche in the temple of memory from which the image is never cast out to be thrown on the rubbish heap of things that are outgrown and outlived.”
Howard Pyle

“There are books so alive that you're always afraid that while you weren't reading, the book has gone and changed, has shifted like a river; while you went on living, it went on living too, and like a river moved on and moved away. No one has stepped twice into the same river. But did anyone ever step twice into the same book?”

Mel Chris Blessed Footsteps Memoirs of JR Holden
The Memoirs of JR Holden is unique, in part, due to the humble nature of this star athlete. And the story he tells is one of hope, inspiration, faith, courage, and belief. JR tells this story without hiding or covering up any of his pit falls or short comings along the way. You will put this book down genuinely sensing the passion this young man lives life with

Give it a try !!
