About this author

Gerry is a father, husband, writer, publisher and IT Consultant. This makes him a pretty good juggler as well. He is author of GUARDIAN OF THE SKY REALMS, a juvenile/mid-grade fantasy novel.

Gerry was one of those young people who didn't know what he wanted to be when he grew up, so he tried all sorts of things, at university, as well as vocationally. In the end he settled for two undergraduate degrees and a masters degree, mostly in computer science and IT.

Throughout all this time he really, really did want to be a writer, but was lazy and confused and instead immersed himself in roleplaying - not just the Friday night activity, but designing and convention going/organizing etc. For well over thirty years...

A Far Away Place is probably my favorite kid's story and I was pleased to publish it in Beyond Centauri 31 a few years ago. Kid's 'Magination, an online children's site, is a fantastic place for families to visit and I am happy indeed that they chose to reprint my story for everyone to see.

Visit Issue 11 of Kid's 'Magination and let your children read this story - it is about overcoming pain a... read more »

Harlequin Books Hello Gerry, it is a pleasure to meet you.

Mel Chris Blessed Footsteps Memoirs of JR Holden

The Memoirs of JR Holden is unique, in part, due to the humble nature of this star athlete. And the story he tells is one of hope, inspiration, faith, courage, and belief. JR tells this story without hiding or covering up any of his pit falls or short comings along the way. You will put this book down genuinely sensing the passion this young man lives life with.

GIVE IT A TRY !!

Mel Chris THANK U GERRY FOR UR FRIENDSHIP HERE ON GR ;-)

Simon Hi Gerry...

Ed Rambeau Thanks for your friend request, Gerry. You seem like an interesting person, so feel free to tell me more about yourself and perhaps we can grow to become even greater friends. I, myself, am a singer/songwriter/actor who has recently turned author, so perhaps we can share books and ideas in the future. My 2 top ten recordings were CONCRETE & CLAY (as a singer) and NAVY BLUE (as a writer)...both in the early 1960's.

Regards, and have a great day, Ed
