Why do they call you the cardshark?
best,

P.S. They call me Klawitter, which is an old Dutch word for "the one who sneaks through the night and steals your wife".

RECENT BITS & SCRAPS OF NEWS ABOUT MY WRITING

WEBSITE ACTIVITY My first website has oozed from the primordial soup: www.johnklawitter.com You can use it get a hint of what books I've recently had published, and to link to them for a more in-depth preview. COATS OF MANY E-COLORSMy recent books are published as e-books (in all formats), as Kindle Books, as trade paperbacks and as audio books. You can find those written since 2007 at www.amazon.com (search author: "John Klawitter") or at my publisher's website: http://double-dragon-ebooks.com/eAuth... AUDIO BOOKSI now have 5 of my books released as audio books through Audible Books, the number one audio book distributor in the world. They are recorded 'as narratedby the author from his hillside home studio in Woodland Hills.' Audible has complimented them as 'of the highest professional quality,' and I'm not one to dispute their claim, though I tend to think of them as more personal and with the flavor of the author's true intent, rather than some booming, empty-voiced narrator. They are, in no particular order: TINSEL WILDERNESS, FOUL, THE HEART OF DESIRE, DEVILS, and HOLLYWOOD HAVOC: The Trouble With Fat Boy Here's the link: http://tinyurl.com/jkaudible

EPPIE AWARDS

EPIC stands for Electronic Book Publishers Something-or-Other, and they give out awards for e-books, seen in certain eyes as the 'new wave in publishing'. E-books certainly are less expensive, immediate to download, and the new Kindle system is so wonderful Oprah featured it on her show. Anyway, the EPPIE awards are a big deal in that world, and as I have joined it, I've been lucky to have two of my books selected as finalists, the awards to be given out at EPICon, a big convention they hold in March in Las Vegas. TINSEL WILDERNESS has been selected in the Non-Fiction category, and HOLLYWOOD HAVOC: The Trouble With Fat Boy in the action-thriller novel category.

INSIDE SCOOP

Inside Scoop, a collection of articles written by Hollywood Insiders, has also been nominated for an EPPIE award. It contains two of my stories. A review is available at

Any reader furnishing proof of purchase of 2 of my books from Double Dragon is eligible for a rare free dvd of Extinction, the ten minute dramatic video produced by my son Matthew Klawitter and starring Hollywood actress Heidi Catlin. See my website for details. Offer good through March 2009.
