About this author

Talli Roland writes fun, romantic fiction. Born and raised in Canada, Talli now lives in London, where she savours the great cultural life (coffee and wine).

Despite training as a journalist, Talli soon found she preferred making up her own stories--complete with happy endings. Talli's debut novel The Hating Game was short-listed for Best Romantic Read at the UK's Festival of Romance, while her second, Watching Willow Watts, was selected as an Amazon Customer Favourite. Her novels have also been chosen as top books of the year by industry review websites and have been bestsellers in Britain and the United States.

Hello! Happy Thursday! It is sweltering here in London, but at least we can say it is definitely summer. I spent last weekend somewhere in rural Shropshire at the RNA conference, and I think I'm still in recovery.
Nevertheless, I did manage to revive myself enough to head to Amazon's Christmas Wishlist Event to represent KDP. Here is the lovely shiny stand.

And above, an amazing book bench on B... Read more of this blog post »

Build a Man (Select)
1 chapters   —   updated Oct 17, 2011 05:10AM
Description: Slave to the rich, rude and deluded, cosmetic surgery receptionist Serenity Holland longs for the day she's a high-flying tabloid reporter. Unfortunately, every pitch she sends out disappears like her clients' liposuctioned fat, never to be seen again. Then she meets Jeremy Ritchie -- the hang-dog man determined to be Britain's Most Eligible Bachelor by making himself over from head to toe and everything in between -- giving Serenity a story no editor could resist. With London's biggest tabloid on board and her very own column tracking Jeremy's progress from dud to dude, Serenity is determined to be a success, even going undercover to gain intimate access to Jeremy's life. But when Jeremy's surgery goes drastically wrong and Serenity is ordered to cover all the car-crash goriness, she must decide how far she really will go for her dream job.
Watching Willow Watts (Literature & Fiction)
1 chapters   —   updated Oct 10, 2011 08:07AM
Description: For twenty-five-year-old Willow Watts, life has settled into a predictably dull routine: days behind the counter at her father's antique shop; nights watching fuzzy telly whilst the elderly residents of Britain's Ugliest Village bed down for yet another early night. But everything changes when Willow's epically embarrassing Marilyn Monroe impersonation is uploaded to YouTube. A canny viewer spots Marilyn's ghostly image hidden in the film and Willow becomes an international sensation. Her dire little town is suddenly overrun with fans proclaiming her to be the 'new Marilyn'. Egged on by the villagers - whose shops and businesses are cashing in - Willow eagerly embraces her new identity, dying her hair platinum and scoffing cakes to achieve Marilyn's legendary curves. But when the only man she has ever truly loved returns, seeking the old Willow, it's decision time. Should she risk stardom and the village's new-found fortune on love? Or is being Marilyn Willow's real ticket to happiness?
The Hating Game (Select)
1 chapters   —   updated Nov 15, 2010 07:24AM
Description: When man-eater Mattie Johns agrees to star on a dating game show to save her ailing recruitment business, she's confident she'll sail through to the end without letting down the perma-guard she's perfected from years of her love 'em and leave 'em dating strategy. After all, what can go wrong with dating a few losers and hanging out long enough to pick up a juicy £200,000 prize? Plenty, Mattie discovers, when it's revealed that the contestants are four of her very unhappy exes. Can Mattie confront her past to get the prize money she so desperately needs, or will her exes finally wreak their long-awaited revenge? And what about the ambitious TV producer whose career depends on stopping her from making it to the end?

Talli Roland Hi Ulrike!

Thank you so much for your kind words, and for buying some of my novels! I really hope you enjoy them. :)

Ulrike Hey Talli,
thanks for accepting my friend request. I first heard about you when I read a review of your new christmas story a few days ago and it sounds like a very nice little book. After looking at your page here I went off to amazon and bought a few of your books which I'm very much looking forward to be reading soon. In your little videos here you seem like such a lovely person. It's great to see more independent authors these days and I wish you all the best for your future work.
