So funny, I've been thinking of you this morning while listening to DTW in my van. Half-way through (it's slow going). It's darker and more violent, which isn't my cup of tea (though I've just finished THE ROAD and really thought it wonderful, if you can say such a thing about all the ugliness shown there). I like it, but I don't find Gabry a very interesting character. I am much more interested in adult Mary. (Interesting to see you feel the same way about Gabry!).
I also feel the romance with Catcher (I'm guessing this is how you spell his name; I've never seen it in print!), well, I don't care about it. It came too quickly and easily.
I'll tell you more when I finish.
