About this author

My life has been a series of left turns that nevertheless took me in the right direction (though it didn't always seem so at the time). The second volume in the All Souls Trilogy, SHADOW OF NIGHT, came out in July 2012...more

message 26: by Nicole (last edited Mar 13, 2012 07:48PM)

Nicole Thanks for accepting my friendship! I'm reading A Discovery of Witches and I'm enchanted! It's so beautifully written and Diana is smart and strong and sassy and doesn't play damsel in distress which I love and Matthew is dreamy, intelligent and downright delicious! I love all the history and science mixed with the supernatural elements, it's all of my favorite things together, real accurate history and the paranormal! Thank you for writing such a beautiful story, I'm devouring it like Diana devours her books and Matthew devours Diana... I mean science... ;)

message 17: by Lexi

Lexi Thank you for such a wonderful book!

It had been collecting dust on my shelf for months since I'd purchased it. Then suddenly it seemed to call me on the eve of Halloween. I sat down after work and thought well maybe just a few chapters. As it happened I closed it, completed, the next afternoon without having slept.

It was refreshing and a nice change to read about vampires and witches that had substance beyond their supernatural abilities. I can't wait for the follow up books.
