  <about><![CDATA[Grew up in the Alaskan Bush in multicultural family - Inupiaq stepdad and grandma, Inupiaq and Siberian Yupik sisters in law, Sami-Norse-Celtic-Algonquin mother. Got degrees in East Asian Studies and English, studied arctic ecology and made small oil spills on the tundra salt marsh to study the ill effects. Worked in Tokyo, Taipei, arctic Norwegian farms, Crete and the Middle East, learned many languages, mythologies,cooking methods,  
raised a bicultural daughter, paid rent by teaching college ESL to students from every cultual area of Earth.
