For this weekend only, I'm dropping the price of six of my novellas to .99 cents. That's six books for six bucks.

I've tried to get a nice assortment of stories in here: fantasy, historical, and of course mystery and romance.

The selected titles are:

A Vintage Affair
Blood Red Butterfly
The Dark Horse
The Darkling Thrush
Cards on the Table
Out of the Blue

You can purchase them at that reduced price... Read more of this blog post »

Somebody Killed His Editor (Gay & Lesbian)
1 chapters   —   updated Aug 17, 2009 09:53am
Description: The road back to bestsellerdom can be deadly. Holmes & Moriarity, Book 1 Thanks to an elderly spinster sleuth and her ingenious cat, Christopher Holmes has enjoyed a celebrated career as a bestselling mystery writer. Until now. Sales are down and his new editor is allergic to geriatric gumshoes. On the advice of his agent, he reinvents his fortyish, frumpy, recently dumped self into the sleek, sexy image of a literary lion, and heads for a Northern California writers conference to try and resurrect his career. A career nearly as dead as the body he stumbles over in the woods. In a weirdly déjà vu replay of one of his own novels, he finds himself stranded in an isolated lodge full of frightened women—and not a lawman in sight. Except for J.X. Moriarity, former cop and bestselling novelist. The man with whom he shared a one-night stand—okay, maybe three—long ago. The man who wants to arrest him for murder. A ruthless, stalking killer, or a hot, handsome ex-lover. Which poses the greater danger? It’s elementary, my dear Holmes!
Lovers and Other Strangers (Gay & Lesbian)

The Ghost Wore Yellow Socks (Gay & Lesbian)
1 chapters   —   updated Aug 12, 2009 09:48am
Description: Josh's first stand-alone novel. His romantic weekend in ruins, shy twenty-something artist Perry Foster learns that things can always get worse when he returns home from San Francisco to find a dead body in his bathtub. A dead body in a very ugly sportscoat -- and matching socks. The dead man is a stranger to Perry, but that's not much of a comfort; how did a strange dead man get in a locked flat at the isolated Alton Estate in the wilds of the "Northeast Kingdom" of Vermont? Perry turns to help from "tall, dark and hostile" former navy SEAL Nick Reno -- but is Reno all that he seems?

Becky Hi Josh! I had a chance to start the first Holmes & Moriarity book last night. As much as I loved Adrien English, I think Christopher Holmes might outdo him for me. I'm maybe 30% through the book and he's already had me laughing so many times. Love his internal dialogue and his conversations with the others. Yeah, this series is gonna be FUN! :)

Thanks for the kind words. There will be some kind of Christmas treat in the AE series, but no further novels are planned.

Becky Hi Josh! Thanks for accepting the friend request! You've become one of my favorite authors after reading the Adrien English series. I do love a character who can pull off sarcasm with class LOL! Sad that there were only five books in that series. Are there plans for more? Looking forward to starting Holmes & Moriarity next. :)

Laura Thank you for the add! I’m looking forward to diving into more of your words and worlds, but until then…I picked up my first (shocking I know) Raymond Chandler book today. LdDurham That one of my top authors is buying the debut novel from another of my top authors based on a review I wrote has got to be one of the greatest compliments I have ever received. I feel like a conduit for coolness. Thank you. I really hope you enjoy it! I thought the mystery was pretty cool, but I'm not a mystery buff, so I'd really like to hear your thoughts on it once you've read it.
