Each of my 7 novels has "taken" me to a different part of the world and I've learned so much about underwater archaeology, ancient civilizations and unexplained (but very real) mysteries through my research. I've also had the opportunity to meet REAL scientists and explorers who are involved in the science behind my fiction.(less)

My first novel (Tractrix) started as a one-month project to fill some empty time in my technical writing job. During that month I wrote 3 chapters and I was hooked! Those 3 chapters didn't start out to be a novel and I certainly didn't expect that that novel would become a series or part of a 7-book double series. But once I started, I was driven to see the story to the end. Now I'm about to start my THIRD series!(less)

That's right, I'm committing to another series that will continue the story line started in my Seeds of Civilization series and further developed in my Parallel Ops series. The working title for the new series is "The Dolphin Directive" so those of you who have read my last 2 books will have an idea where I'm going with the new subject matter.
