About this author

I like to think my novels are overpowered by one thing that we all need to survive, let alone breathe; and that is love -- a touch, an emotion which makes life bearable and worthwhile. For all of us know that through pleasure and pain, it is in our deepest despair that we acknowledge, appreciating the life given. Every element of who we are when stripped away, purifies us until there is nothing left but a renewed sense of happiness, and more importantly, love for ourselves. It is so basic, so simple, we choose not to see it, or can’t.

So accept both, pleasure and pain.

Remember if you veer from that road less traveled, take your dreams, hold tight and press on... no matter how treacherous and tormenting the path may become.

Now, some egotistical Marine--with an attitude the size of her home state--intrudes uninvited at her parent’s home. His overbearing presence cues her to recall everything her brother once stood for and presently, can’t quite stomach. The man embodying honor, country and duty had to leave--if it was the last thing she ever did. It is one thing to come back from war and feel its affect, but it was another to accept defeat. Now, Cpl. Mitch Brannigan has come back after his second tour in Iraq and with wounds much deeper than the physical. Brannigan's War (Romance)
1 chapters   —   updated Oct 28, 2010 12:33pm
Description: Corporal Mitch Brannigan was always one to fight his way through life’s obstacles, and being injured in Iraq was only one more hardship to conquer. Now home in the States, he realizes it is one thing to return from war and feel its affects, but it’s another to accept defeat. He must fight to overcome the denunciation and pain that comes with being a U.S. Veteran—and to fulfill a promise between comrades. As Brannigan begins to believe that his share of strife is behind him, his dutiful mission stations him directly in Emily Billings’ life. Emily proves to be a battle of shear will and critical emotions, as the turmoil of losing her brother causes her to resent everything Mitch Brannigan stands for—but even that doesn’t deter Brannigan from carrying out his pledge. His fighting spirit—or is it arrogance?— is clearly behind him every step of the way, but little does he know that one little promise is about to be his biggest battle yet.
