Remembering the Patron Saint

Yes, there are three patron saints of Ireland. You’ve probably heard me say that before: St. Patrick, St. Brigid, and St. Columba. But most people associate St. Patrick with Ireland, and legends extoll his bravery and evangelical spirit. He is credited with bringing Christianity to Ireland, and while he was not the first Christian t...

A great, easy to read little book that answers all the questions new authors are afraid to ask or perhaps don't know to ask. This is a valuable tool writers will want to reference from planning to publishing their books. Highly recommended.

“She lifted the book to her nose. A book had a smell more soothing than any of Mrs. Hawkins's herbs. There was nothing like a good story to take her out of a world she didn't much like.”
Cindy Thomson, Annie’s Stories

“He was an average-looking, hard working fellow who was more comfortable reading about people in books than socializing with them.”

“Not all those who wander are lost.”
J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring

“The Celt, and his cromlechs, and his pillar-stones, these will not change much – indeed, it is doubtful if anybody at all changes at any time. In spite of hosts of deniers, and asserters, and wise-men, and professors, the majority still are adverse to sitting down to dine thirteen at a table, or being helped to salt, or walking under a ladder, of seeing a single magpie flirting his chequered tale. There are, of course, children of light who have set their faces against all this, although even a newspaperman, if you entice him into a cemetery at midnight, will believe in phantoms, for everyone is a visionary, if you scratch him deep enough. But the Celt, unlike any other, is a visionary without scratching.”
W.B. Yeats

“Fiction reveals truth that reality obscures.”
Jessamyn West
