| When I started reading I'll Tell You Mine, I was under the impression it was for a younger YA audience, and I am not exactly sure why - I think it may have been the vagueness of the blurb, and the fact that the protagonist is 15. It turns out I was w...more | |

| I love books involving time travel. I don't know if I've mentioned this before. What I loved about the time travel aspect of this book was how the characters dealt with it - not in a 'we need to figure this out and go back in time to kill Hitler!' wa...more | |

| A New Kind of Dreaming was originally published in 2001, and recently re-released. Sometimes I find with YA novels that are ten or twenty years old, they can be appreciated for the time they were published, but they don't really measure up to modern...more | |

“I hope you feel better about yourself. I hope you feel alive. I hope that good things happen to you, and I hope that when the inevitable bad things happen you can handle them and learn a lesson and move on. I hope you know you're not alone and I hope you spend plenty of time with your family and/or friends and I hope you write more and get a seven-figure book deal. I hope next year no more celebrities die and I hope you get an iPhone if you want one. Or maybe a pony. I hope someone writes a song for you on Valentines Day that's a bit like Hey There Delilah, and I hope they have a good singing voice, or at least one better than mine. I hope that you accept yourself the way you are, and figure out that losing 20 pounds isn't going to magically make you love yourself. I hope you read a lot. I hope you don't have to almost die to figure out how valuable life is. I hope you find the perfect nail polish/digital camera/home/life partner. I hope you stop being jealous of others. I hope you feel good, about yourself and the people around you and the world. I hope you eat heaps of salt and vinegar chips because they're the best kind. I hope you accomplish all your hopes & dreams & aspirations and are blissfully happy & get married to Edward Cullen/George Clooney/Megan Fox/Angelina Jolie (delete whichever are inappropriate) & ride a pretty white horse into the sunset & I hope it's all sweet and wonderful because you deserve it because you did well this year in the face of sparkly vampires/great evil/low self-esteem.”

If a bunch of people can get Betty White to host Saturday Night Live seems like we can make a great book(s) a bestseller.

Hey Steph!Just swinging past to let you know I picked up Girl Saves Boy from Borders today, I'm so excited to read it! Love the cover. My mum read the summary on the back and now she wants to steal it. I told her to go buy her own copy, help an Aussie author out :oP hope all is going well post-release!
Brooke :o) x
Thanks so much for friend requesting me! Hehe your profile pic is so pretty. :) You look so mature for 16, which I mean in the best possible way. Best of luck with the book...and I should get off to sleep now because it is past midnight. *yawn* Just to let you know, I'm not entering your contest, because I have the intention of buying a copy, myself!

Awesome, Thanks Steph! I look forward to reading more about it! You're more than welcome (for support) too =]

I actually have practically no information about my book online at the moment, and I've been meaning to put up a blurb for AGES.
I'm going to be putting up a blurb probably during March on my blog. I've also revealed little snippets of info about the book in recent interviews, which are listed here: http://heyteenager.blogspot.com/p/abo...
So I will let you know as soon as I figure out a decent blurb (I need to talk to my publishers about it...)! Thanks so much for the support :)
Hey Steph,Probably a stupid question, but is there any information about your debut novel anywhere? I had a look on your blog and saw the article picture, but not what it was about (please forgive me if there was something there, I'm extremely sleep deprived today :oP), cos I'd really love to check out what it's about! I've got a lot of friends who read and I'd love to spread the word about a fellow Aussie (and a YA Author at that!) who deserves all the word of mouth she can get.
