I would love your vote. www.shortyawards.com/bettydravis

Description: I have been nominated for a Shorty Award. Since the competition is J. K. Rowling, among other famous authors, it's a long-shot, but I'm already in 16th place. I'm pleased if I end up in 16th, but a few more votes would ensure my keeping that placement should any below me make a last-minute dash... :-) No matter how it ends, it's an honor to be nominated. I'd be delighted to have your vote. YOU MUST BE A TWITTERER TO VOTE: DEADLINE FEBRUARY 17TH. ONLY TWO DAYS LEFT TO VOTE. http://shortyawards.com/bettydravis Thanks, my friends. Sorry about removing my story of Clint Eastwood. New book to contain that story and other celebrity stories. (Biographies & Memoirs)
1 chapters   —   updated Mar 29, 2010 04:33pm
Description: When I was a young newspaper columnist and feature writer for the Sun Newspaper chain I had the honor of meeting and interviewing the living legend Clint Eastwood. It was when he was making all those Spaghetti Westerns and was a rising star. It was a memorable day in my life. I shared that anecdote with you but since it's now going to be in a book of celebrity interviews that I'm co-authoring with Chase Von, I had to remove it. The new book, DREAM REACHERS, will be out in mid-2009. I'll keep you all posted. DREAM REACHERS will feature my anecdotes about behind-the scenes when I interviewed Clint Eastwood, Jane Russell, Sen. Ted Kennedy and others. It will also feature interviews by Chase Von ... of new, upcoming entertainers (Darcy Donavan and Kiara Hunter, etc.), authors (including me and Chrissy McVay), and several artists. This is a fun project and I can't wait to see it in print. I'll be sharing the tentative cover with you very soon. Hugs - Betty Dravis

He immortalized the top rock groups: The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Janice Joplin and many more celebrities like Robert Mitchum. Jim helped us reach the right people for photo clearances when publishing our latest book DREAM REACHERS.

Betty Hi, Cher,

I'm just pleased that you are doing so much writing at TEXTNOVEL. Wow, you are prolific! I only left one comment because they only allowed one when I visited. Are you now allowing more?

Best of luck with all your writing projects, my friend.

Bradley Hello Betty, I also went to the grocery store yesterday. =) And book promoting as well. About as well as can be expected. Today promises to be okay, spending the day with my son. =)

Laurel-Rain Hey, Bettykins...I see that this "friend comment" spot is blank on my page, for some reason! Hint!

Just wanted to know if you got the book...Also, I got the Vine badge! Now I am confused as to the criteria for achieving that. Maybe it's a combination of things.

Hope you're having a great day.

message 9: by Ed

Ed Thanks for the add, Betty. I've found out where to post friend comments now. Your meeting and interview w/Clint Eastwood sound fascinating. Great stuff. Best for your books. I flagged 1106 Grand Boulevard to read. Sounds cool. I try to read at night, so it might be a while, but I get my reading done.

Ed

Laurel-Rain Hey Bettykins: I know that you don't belong to the Women's Fiction Group---probably most of your books are of a different genre. But I do belong, and took the liberty of adding your book "1106 Grand Boulevard" to our bookshelf.

Patrick Tracey Saints alive, Betty . . . I am dipping toes in marketing bubblegum now . . ought to be an interesting trudge for Stalking Irish Madness . . thanks for adding me and I look forward to enjoying The Toonies Invade Silicon Valley . . btw, in real life I once lived in the same apartment building as Clint's Secret Service officer in The Line of Fire. What a cool snap of you two up there. - Patrick
