About this author

Like most of us, I can't draw a straight line. Which was why I wrote a novel about people who can. At least it appears that they can. (Von Hot Rod himself told me that he couldn't draw a straight line either; that's why he stripes on curves.)

It began when I saw a few pinstripers on some hot rod show. Who are these people and where do they come from? Why do they paint razor-thin lines on all things vehicular and many things not? How fine is the line that separates the great from the best?

Weave that into the coming-of-age tale of a young man with many more questions than answers and you have "Pinstripes: The Unknown Story of the World's Best Pinstriper."

You can learn more at http://www.pinstripesthenovel.com. Please, enjoy.

As difficult as it must be to create suspense toward an outcome all of us know beforehand, author Daniel Stashower has penned a compelling and well-researched thriller in "The Hour of Peril." (More accurately, it covers closer to two weeks of peril,...more

For most of us the notion of an embedded journalist in Afghanistan has taken the image of someone walking and working in lockstep with the military as they proceeded to instill some sense of peace and democracy to the terrorist-torn country. In "The...more

As a baby-boomer myself, my life pretty much spans the chronology of this book. And without knowing what preceded my generation, I could be excused for believing that life in America over the past 50 or 60 years is just the way it's always been.
