“There where hundreds of graves. There where hundreds of women. There were hundreds of daughters. There were hundreds of sons. And hundreds upon hundreds upon thousands of candles. The whole graveyard was one swarm of candleshine as if a population of fireflies had heard of a Grand Conglomeration and had flown here to settle in and flame upon the stones and light the brown faces and the dark eyes and the black hair.”

“Jennings saw this and held the gun up with his fingers splayed placatingly as if to show her that he wasn’t planning on using it. Not yet, anyway. “I don’t want to hurt you again, Lily,” he told her. “So just make sure you don’t do anything stupid, and I won’t.” At that moment, he reminded her of John Cusack in Grosse Pointe Blank. He acted like he was making a reasonable request. As if there was justification for shooting someone thirty times.”

“They say you can't stop time, that it is a constant and waits for no one. The're wrong. Time slows when you want it to speed up. It goes too Fast when you're having fun. And it stops. It stops dead in its tracks, when the unthinkable occurs. Time is not neutral, it makes no sence, and it bears no logic. It has nothing to do with nature or fairness or physics. Time is cruel. And its as simple as that.”

“If a human female was going to defeat a male alpha werewolf, there was only so many thing she could do to accomplish that feat. All of them were batshit.”

“In science it often happens that scientists say, 'You know that's a really good argument; my position is mistaken,' and then they would actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn't happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time something like that happened in politics or religion.”

Lord have mercy, I didn't realize I bought half of your novels. I think it is time for me to get a job. My boyfriend cannot take my spending on books, haha! Is there a book coming out soon by any chance? Because if there is, my grades will suffer tremendously. :] no regrets!
Thank you for the add!! I am absolutely in love with your lost angels series. I just finished Gabe's Story!! Jan 2013 cannot get here fast enough or i might go through withdrawal! how many books are planed for the series beside the favorite 4? will there be a book for sam/angel, max/lilith? thank you for the great books and keep up the good work ;)

Christine wrote: "When is book two in the October trilogy going to be released?" Hi Christine - due to a run in with some issues, the October Trilogy is currently on hold. There is a bit of information about this on my website at www.killough-walden.com, however I can't yet quote a release date, I'm afraid. I am hoping to have it out for next Fall, though. :)
