About this author

MARMEE & LOUISA, Eve LaPlante's dual biography of Louisa May Alcott and her mother, Abigail May Alcott, came out in 2012. Simon & Schuster simultaneously published MY HEART IS BOUNDLESS, the first compilation of the private papers of Abigail, the real "Marmee."

Eve wrote two previous biographies, AMERICAN JEZEBEL and SALEM WITCH JUDGE, the winner of the 2008 Massachusetts Book Award for Nonfiction, and SEIZED, a nonfiction portrait of a form of epilepsy that illuminates the mind-body problem, all three published by Harper and in print. She can be contacted at www.EveLaPlante.com.

Stuart Thank you for accepting my friend request here on good reads, Eve.

I found your book titled 'Seized' absolutely fascinating, and exceptionally well researched.

Best, Stuart
