Lev Raphael is the prize-winning author or co-author of eighteen books in a range of genres: fiction, memoir, biography and literary criticism, mystery, and psychology. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Massachusetts and a Ph.D. in American Studies from Michigan State University. His fiction and essays have been widely anthologized, written about, and taught at colleges and universities. Raphael has published hundreds of stories, essays, articles and reviews in a wide range of newspapers, magazines and journals, and his books have been translated into nearly a dozen languages.
