About this author

I am a poet by habit and a writer by necessity. I am also commissioning editor for Endaxi Press and its Prosochi imprint.

Endaxi Press was initially set up in 2009 as a vehicle to produce my poetry books. As we learned the skills and crafts necessary we broadened that remit to include a very select number of authors in our publishing 'stable.'

Endaxi may be small - but we do things properly and to a very high standard.

My own poetry books can be seen as the grit which stimulated the oyster to produce the pearl. :)

I do a lot of nothing.

Sitting or lying and letting my brain wander around on its own. I observe when I am out and about. Part of my 'problem' is that I don't go anywhere on my own. I am not independent. But when I am with other people, who do the driving, I can gaze out of the car window and marvel at the green of trees cutting their sillhouettes out of a bright blue sky. I get to watch the clo...

“Rem tene, verba sequentur: grasp the subject, and the words will follow. This, I believe, is the opposite of what happens with poetry, which is more a case of verba tene, res sequenter: grasp the words, and the subject will follow.”
Umberto Eco, PostScript to the Name of the Rose

“I've never had a sustained period of medication for mental illness when I've not been on other drugs as well. It's just not something that I particularly feel I need. I know that I have dramatically changing moods, and I know sometimes I feel really depressed, but I think that's just life. I don't think of it as, "Ah, this is mental illness," more as, "Today, life makes me feel very sad." I know I also get unnaturally high levels of energy and quickness of thought, but I'm able to utilize that.”
Russell Brand, My Booky Wook
