About this author

I'm a writer living in Galway, Ireland.

I've written two comic book series, Róisín Dubh and Jennifer Wilde for Atomic Diner Comics, and my short stories and poetry have appeared in collections and magazines in the USA and the UK.

I wrote part of a horror anthology play, called The Halloween Sessions, which was staged in London in October 2012.

My collection of dark fairy tales, called Twisted Fairy Tales, illustrated by Jane Laurie, was published by Barron's Educational Series on 1 February, 2013.

The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg
Very interesting read, well written with a lively style. Not a book for people looking for concrete systems for changing their habits, although there is a simple example offered at the end if the book.

George Bernard Shaw
“If you cannot get rid of the family skeleton, you may as well make it dance.”
George Bernard Shaw, Immaturity

Gautama Buddha
“Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.”
Gautama Buddha

Virginia Woolf
“Fiction is like a spider's web, attached ever so lightly perhaps,
but still attached to life at all four corners.”
Virginia Woolf

Gore Vidal
“The malady of civilized man is his knowledge of death. The good artist, like the wise man, addresses himself to life and invests with his private vision the deeds and thoughts of men. The creation of a work of art, like an act of love, is our one small yes at the center of a vast no.”
