About this author

Craig Wallwork was born in Salford, Manchester, England. After leaving school he attended Art College before becoming a film-maker and then a full time editor.

His short stories have appeared in many magazines, journals and anthologies both in the UK and US. He is also the author of To Die Upon a Kiss, published by Snubnose Press, and The Sound of Loneliness by Perfect Edge Books. Craig's short story collection, Quintessence of Dust, published by KUBOA is out now.

I Didn't Mean to Be Kevin by Caleb J. Ross
" A bit of an aside to start: here's an indie publisher doing right by the reader. The purpose of an indie publisher should be to publish smart books that push buttons and boundaries that would otherwise be ignored by the 50-shades-of-grey and Tom-C... "

Ash Cinema by edward j rathke
" Edward Rathke walks a tightrope through most of Ash Cinema. I kept waiting for the pacing to collapse, for the stylized writing style to become masturbatory rather than merely indulgent. It was a waveform that seemed perpetually about to collapse.... "

Praise of Motherhood by Phil Jourdan
" It took me a while to figure out why this book felt a bit familiar and different all at once, and then it hit me: Holden Caulfield (stay with me here...). I hated Catcher in the Rye, and the reason I hated it had everything to do with the kid at t... "

I've read all of Keret's books and found each to hold within their pages worlds and characters beyond measure. And Suddenly, a Knock on the Door is the same. But sadly, the ratio of great stories that pull us into strange incidents unbound by realit...more
Quintessence of Dust by Craig Wallwork
" You know writing is singular and fantastic when you have to use the author's name to describe the work. This collection is "Wallworkian". Yeah, I said it. Nobody else could write these stories. Nobody else would dare to. You're stepping unfiltered... "

This is my second book by Kaufman in the past three days. To say I’m binging on this guy is an understatement. Rarely do I do this. I can count the amount of authors on three fingers that had me want to read their whole back catalogue consecutively,...more

Read this in one sitting, which is how it must be read. Lovely, sweet story that deserves your full attention. It would have gotten five stars had the ending not been so abrupt, and maybe over time I'll learn to appreciate that more, that the ending...more

Matthew Vaughn It's funny, the same thing happened to me and Richard, when your friends with someone on so many Social sites it gets difficult to keep track, and then you stumble upon an option to add as a friend. I thought we were friends on here already.

Colin Miller Look at you, Craig -- on the best / top reviewers.

Craig Wallwork better, thanks. My wife has currently fell asleep on my arm, limiting my reach to the keyboard. I look like a T Rex trying to play the piano!

Colin Miller Nice to see you on here, Craig.

My family is getting on well. Has yours mended up a wee bit?
