These days, I spend most of my creative juice writing for businesses, not for me.
No, I don't hate everything. It's just a low scoring system in this four- and five-star wasteland:
-One star: I don't feel the need to nuance stars on books I didn't enjoy, so even if a book had good parts, if it falls short of an average read (and I don't think any of us are intentionally reading books we won't enjoy), it goes here.
-Two stars: An average read, something I'd still recommend to the right person.
-Three stars: A good read. This is the level where I start recommending books.
-Four stars: Book of the year.
-Five stars: Best books of my lifetime; those rare reads that really deserve the stars.
Okay, fine, just add a star to my reviews.
