it's a pleasure! I'll try to read your book as soon as possible but it really is hard for me since I still have to cope up with my studies. Then after that I'll give you my honest review :D
Hi, Bette! Yours was the friendliest friend request I have ever received on GR! Can't wait to read one of your novels and to get to know you better! Best wishes, Tatiana
Thanks for the Friend-vite. Will you still respect me if I mention I'm a transplanted Yank? Ohio for 30 yrs and NC for 14. lol
Hi! Thanks for the friend request! I'm definitely going to add your book to my list-it looks really interesting! :)
Hi Bette, Thanks for the friend request! I'll check out your books when I get home from work this afternoon, and I look forward to chatting with you !
Best,
Laura
Thanks for the friend-vite. I look forward to reading your work. :)Oh and congratulations on your success. I will surely be your newest fan!
Thanks for the friend request. You are the second person I've met on GoodReads who knew where Hasbrouck Heights is.
Thanks so much for the friend request. I can't wait to read Spare Change - what great reviews! All the best,
Kristen
Thank you for the friend request. I look forward to discussing books with you in the future and after reading the descriptions of your books I will definitely be picking those up too!
Good afternoon! Nice to add another friend :) After reading all the good reviews, I might just have to read Cracks in the Sidewalk this month. I love to read "emotional rollercoasters".
Hey Bette, just checked out your books on Bent Pine Blog and they are wonderful. Curious about your experience with Publish America I've heard some not so nice things. Bent Pine seems productive for you. We (Silverlake ebooks) and I collectively chose to price Magnolia Cristiana St. Claire at $6.99 for reasons I won't go into here. DIVORCE AN EMOTIONAL INTRUSION (more of documentary type book) we priced at $4.99.
When I get my Kindle in the very near future, I want to read Cracks in the Sidewalk. I have only been at this two years and it never stops with new learning every day.
Yes, it takes gumption and persistence to be noticed as one of the 'new talents".

Awesome! I donated two copies of Spare Change to the Sisterhood but I don't know where they are right now.
Spare Change and Cracks in the Sidewalk are $2.99 each on Kindle or Nook. Girl Child is not available as an e-book and the reason for that is because I changed publishers so that book will be re-released this spring under its original title which was "The Twelfth Child" - FYI: One of my primary reason for changing publishers is that Publish America (the company that did Girl Child) charges customers too much for the book. If I let them release it as an e-book they wanted to charge #12.99. and that's too much to charge for a new author. I would rather see more people be able to read the book and make less money.
Unfortunately, I had no say over the pricing with Publish America, with Bent Pine I do. (Yay!)
Anyway, I'm so happy that you are going to read the books, please let me know which you enjoyed the most - they are both women's fiction but very different styles.
Best regards,
Bette

It gets even funnier - mpost of the books I write are set in and around Virginia - I did two that are not - Cracks in the sidewalk is set in NJ (of course) and What Matter Most (a book that will be release this year) is set in NJ & FL. Hey, if you're gonna write about it, you should know what you're writing about (LOL again)
Wow, how cool!! I say coffee the same way and my husband just loves it! He is from Chicago! I grew up in Bogota and lived in Ridgefield before moving to Virginia Beach then here in Wisconsin!! Small world huh?? LOL
Susan wrote: "Bette, are you by any chance a Jersey Girl? I am! Bergen County baby! Hahahaha"OMG - I lived in Englewood and then Bergenfield when I was a teenager! It's so funny because I usually write in a Southern voice (my family was from the South) but as soon as I speak the word "coffee" people say, Oh, you must be from NJ LOL Hubby and I lived in Warren Township (Somerset Cty) and then Montville (Morris Cty) before we came to FL (15 yrs ago.
thank YOU! I love making friends with my readers, and I love hearing their view of the characters in my books. If you'd like to read a sneak peek preview of my new book "Spare Change" you can do so at my publisher's blog http://bentpinepublishing.wordpress.comYou can also read a chapter from "Cracks in the Sidewalk" at that blogsite - this is the book that won the Royal Palm Literary Award.
Look forward to getting to know you better.
