Loose Rabbits of Rabbit: Chasing Beth Rider (Science Fiction & Fantasy)
4 chapters   —   updated Dec 24, 2009 12:03pm
Description: Rabbit: Chasing Beth Rider characters Elder Roman and Javier have a special relationship that plays into the plot of the novel. This is a glimpse into the day they met over a hundred years ago. This is a 'Loose Rabbit'. A chapter NOT in the book but fits right in and provides titillating back story nonetheless.

Mitchell Cook Hi, Ellen!

I'm going to have to check out your books now! :) It might take me a bit. I just got a Kindle two days ago and I've been spending money like crazy on books. I've probably bought 10 or 12 zombie novels, 6 or 8 fantasy books and one vampire book. I guess I know where I can get more vampire books now. :)

If you do get around to reading my zombie novel - let me know what you think. It's my first novel and I'd like to know what you think (good or bad).

Thanks - talk soon!

Grace Elliot Good luck with your books Ellen. I have been reading your blog posts about marketting and it spurred me on to convince my publisher to change the price of A Dead Man's Debt from $9.20 to $2.99. Despite great reviews it seems people are reluctant to take a risk on an unknown author. It is already helping sales ....Thanks for all you share with the book world.

Ed Rambeau Thanks for accepting my friend request, Ellen. You seem like an interesting person, as well as a very prolific and accomplished author, so feel free to tell me more about yourself and perhaps we can grow to become even greater friends. I, myself, am a singer/songwriter/actor who has recently turned author. My 2 top ten recordings were CONCRETE & CLAY (as a singer) and NAVY BLUE (as a writer)...both in the early 1960's. My first novel is a very unusual murder mystery entitled: FORBIDDEN STEPS.

Thank you, Karen! I probably already clicked FAN on your page but I'll go make sure. I LOVE to encourage my writing friends. Remind me -- are your books YA or Middle Grade, or adults? I hope to read the first one soon!

As for my books and having 4 out -- it is thanks to my publisher. When I self-pubbed my first book, it was so expensive that I would have had to stop there. But Linda Boulanger at TreasureLine Publishing really liked my work and now publishes it all and FAST. If you ever have a need for a publisher, I might be able to help you submit to them!

Hugs, ellen

HEY! CONGRATS ON THE KINDLE~!! You're going to have a blast with it!! I don't have one, but one day...

Yes, 33AD was very good. I really enjoyed it a lot. I am trying to think of some recommends, but the first one I can think of that I really enjoyed isn't on Kindle yet. Here is a link so you can put on your to-read shelf on Goodreads: After Eventide

I'm sorry my Kindle book was higher. I think I have it set at $7.99, and it was my first book and I was learning the ropes. I am putting them all on Kindle as they come out, and I'll price them better. I'm thinking about $5.75 sounds good.

HOLD OFF buying Rabbit on Kindle because by next month, I will have it cheaper on Kindle, coming from a different publisher. It will be better, too... cheaper and better...can't beat that!

When my other books trickle out on Kindle, I'll send you a notice through Goodreads so you can put them on your shelves to buy whenever ready. One thing I love about Goodreads is that they keep track of the books I want to get eventually!

Get to reading!!

Hugs--ellen :)

message 27: by Rebecca

Rebecca Hey Ellen,
how is it going? Hey I just finally got a kindle!!! ( think I told you how much I wanted one) my dad surprised me and had it sent to me.. what a shock.. to open a amazon box ( thought it was a book I had ordered but it was used so I was pretty confused lol) then I open it and there is a kindle in the box! I knew it had to be him so I emailed him and he said since Id been so down all spring and summer he wanted me to be happy.. really surprised me..so I was looking at my lists and saw that the book 33 AD was only a few bucks for the kindle version.. and saw you also read and reviewed it...then I went to get rabbit but it was like 7.50 or something..so next month when I get paid or sell a new resin sculpture I'll get yours next.. I also ordered a book called the blood that bonds. it was only 99 cents.. have you read that one yet? I found it when I was surfing amazon after i got the kindle.. was searching for really cheap but newer or popular books.. did you know you can get email on your kindle? and all recipes has a kindle friendly site.. ( I use them alot when I cook.. which isn't that often anymore but still sometimes! now i don't have to put my laptop in the kitchen! lol) so. I still have a large stack of books next to my bed to read so I'll kind of getting a few ready to reading the kindle.. and yours will be there soon! .. just need to make more money.. . read anything really good lately? I just read an old one by chelsey quinn yarbouro about st germain in the 14th century.. was ok but not very vampiry..lol am now reading the 3rd in a series about vampires.. call themselves the blood. as in clan of.. anyways.. Im looking forward to reading the 33ad.. and yours soon! take care!

That sounds awesome, Johnathan! I know a few teen poets, and it takes real heart to write them.

As soon as you can, buy this book -- http://www.amazon.com/2010-Poets-Mark...
It might be in the local big bookstore chain. It will be filled with helpful information on HOW TO GET YOUR POETRY PUBLISHED, and how to submit it and where, and all the addresses and all that. I use these books myself!

Johnathan well miss Ellen I am a poem writer and a short story writer (most of the time) but my work really is in poetry I wrote about 30+ poems and I want to publish it, my teachers and friends tell me I should do it, and I want to, my poetry goes from love to hate from hate to friends and back to love. Emotions are my best work.
