About this author

ERNEST CLINE has worked as a short-order cook, fish gutter, plasma donor, elitist video store clerk, and tech support drone. His primary occupation, however, has always been geeking out, and he eventually threw aside those other promising career paths to express his love of pop culture fulltime as a spoken word artist and screenwriter. “All good books are alike in that they are truer than if they had really happened and after you are finished reading one you will feel that all that happened to you and afterwards it all belongs to you: the good and the bad, the ecstasy, the remorse and sorrow, the people and the places and how the weather was. If you can get so that you can give that to people, then you are a writer.”

Paula Thanks for friending! What a thrill for me - Ready Player One is officially #1 of my all-time favorite books. As a techie, sci-fi lover and a tv/music/atari lovin teenager of the 80s, it was like the book was written just for me! To say I am a fan is an understatement! Can't wait to read more of your work!
