At present, I’m shopping for a new (used) car. In order for you to understand where I’m coming from you have to know a little bit about my history with cars. Believe it or not, one of my favorite childhood toys were cars. I don’t recall asking for anything growing up, either because I was afraid to, or maybe I didn’t have to, or maybe I didn’t know I had an option to.

I will always remember that...

Anna, wake up (Literature & Fiction)
1 chapters   —   updated Mar 11, 2013 11:22PM
Description: A beautiful short and inspirational story about Anna; a young mother trapped in an abusive relationship and the very unique way she gathers enough strength and bravery to trust herself and change her life.
My Oldest Memory (Nonfiction)
1 chapters   —   updated Nov 27, 2009 12:27PM
Description: Since writing this piece in the, “Child as the narrator" form, I have a new appreciation for the memories that young children make and keep. Based on my point of view in the memory, I believe that I am no more than 20-months-old. A great writing example and a great read for anyone who dares to underestimate the memory retention of infants and toddlers. For adults 18+ for drug reference. Enjoy
Twitter Troubles (Poetry)
1 chapters   —   updated Nov 27, 2009 12:24PM
Description: A cute short poem inspired by the initial difficulties I had with the social networking site, "Twitter". It's meant to be funny, so feel free to RAP it out!

“I washed his tiny limp resting body; it was then that I finally released the cry, that for so long, had remained stifled.”
Stacy Sorrells, Anna, Wake Up

“I was curious and so for fun did analyze and came to the singular conclusion that if the woman you described were so bad off, that the only person more pathetic is the one who reminded her of her ongoing misery… and that would be you. (from "Poetry and Prose")”
Stacy Sorrells

“Everyone sees what you appear to be, few experience what you really are.”
Niccolò Machiavelli, The Prince

“I remained too much inside my head and ended up losing my mind”
Edgar Allan Poe

“None of us really changes over time. We only become more fully what we are.”
Anne Rice, The Vampire Lestat

“there is a place in the heart that
will never be filled

a space

and even during the
best moments
and
the greatest times
times

we will know it

we will know it
more than
ever

there is a place in the heart that
will never be filled
and

we will wait
and
wait

in that space.”
Charles Bukowski
