Ghost Stories...And The Unexplained - My October 2011 Title Release (Horror)

updated Sep 26, 2011 01:40am
Description:
Imagine that you are seven years old – a mere child – alone in the house after your parents leave for work. The clock on the mantle ticks loudly, ominously counting off the seconds. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Quite suddenly, your ears are pricked by the sound of chains dragging heavily across the floor and down the long hallway of your parent’s home. The chains seem to clank and tangle as they cross the threshold from The Beyond. Terror surges through your body, you are barely breathing. Your vision sharpens. Down the dark hallway leading to your parent’s bedroom you watch as a translucent figure begin to materialize. You recognize the manifestation as your grandfather who has passed over...
On your sixteenth birthday you hold the clammy fingertips of your classmates at a slumber party séance, having waited until midnight to summon the power of The Ouija. Your friends gasp as the candles that throw shadows across the room flicker and the lens into The Other World begins to sweep across the board.
Ghost Stories…And The Unexplained, is a collection of seven contemporary ghost stories that recount my own experiences with The Unexplained supernatural occurrences in my life.
GHOST STORIES…And The Unexplained, by Emily Hill will release on September 24, 2011 on Amazon Kindle and Barnes & Noble Nook. Cover design by Kathi Humphries http://kathihumphries.com/

Goodreads Member, Lynnette Phillips, is the sweetest angel an author could be blessed with...Goodness knows how she found my debut novel, Jenkins, but she did and I am so fortunate to share the nicest friendship, love of librarians, and thrill over the world of publishing with such an energetic, savvy woman.
I'm so thrilled to discover, Lynnette, that I was able to "lead you into the world of Terror" Yikeees! with Ghost Stories and Tales of Terror. ~*Emily*~

Hi Emily,Thank you for adding The Naked Room to your "to read" list! As this is an Australian novel, there is a Glossary of Terms at the back of the book for when you come up against an Aussie-ism :) I have listed your book, Jenkins; Confederate Road Runner to read but it may be some time before I can read it. It looks as though I shall have to return my kindle wifi and get a kindle 3G reader because I can't hook into a server here in Australia. This is infuriating, but I guess I'll have to bite the bullet and just do it!

What a nice review of Jenkins. I literally stumbled on a mention of 'Jenkins: Confederate Blockade Runner' by AvidReaderBookReviews.com blogger, Lynnette Phillips and was as grateful for the mention as thrilled to read, a month later, that she truly enjoyed my debut novel.Thank you, Lynnette...How nice of You http://avidbookreviews.blogspot.com/2...
