It took place in Pittsfield, Massachutes. However it wasn't until 1845 that the first team (the New York Knickerbockers) was formed.
Baseball has grown and now is played all over the country--all over the world. If I had to pick a favorite team, I would go with my Arizona Diamondbacks!
When the team came to Arizona in 1998, I was working for one of the local television stations and it was huge news! Opening day we had crews all over the stadium, delivering live-shots, and bringing the experience home to those not lucky enough to be sitting in the seats. I know a lot of people think of the number 13 as unlucky, but I consider it a very LUCKY number!
Word has it an upcoming Rockets player will have 13 on his back. 
 


And some people are just looking to get "lucky"! 














In my paranormal short story, THE SEDUCTION OF DAMIAN, Damian has a "lucky" experience of his own. 

The lipstick tube she held up in triumph was as orange as the makeup it contained. She rubbed it over her lips, making the line much higher than her actual lip. A circus clown would have been proud. When she smiled her dingy, yellow teeth had a complimentary orange shadow. "Um, if you'll excuse me," he begged her, "I'm just going to—""Slip into something more comfortable?" Her nasally giggle made every hair on his body stand on end, waving tiny white flags of surrender."Yeah, something like that.""I could help you."He swallowed the bile that rose in the back of his throat. "That's okay, I can manage." His feet couldn't move fast enough as he retreated to his bedroom. His feet ate up the stairs, taking them three at a time. Fighting the urge to slam the door, he instead fumbled with the lock, hoping she wouldn't try to follow him. He prayed she'd left her wand at home—with the rest of her clothes. He paused, freezing the breath in his lungs, and listened. When only silence answered from the other side of the door he sighed. Rummaging through the dresser, he pulled out an armful of underwear and dumped it on the bed. He jammed a foot into some very unattractive tighty-whities, his toe getting stuck on the hem. He hopped around until he freed his wayward appendage, nearly ripping out the seam to do so. A quick cup of his hand to arrange things down below, he pulled on some boxer-briefs, completing the armament with an additional pair of boxers. With his genitals safely hidden beneath three layers of cotton, he reached for a pair of jeans. Levi's, not Lucky's. No one would be getting 'lucky' in this house tonight!

Morgan's Musings is giddy to be able to welcome Siobhan Muir.  (Author Morgan Kearns, Ruth Lacy, Author Siobhan Muir) I met Siobhan last June at Arizona Dreamin' 2011. We became fast friends and I just love her! She has a new book and I want to introduce both of them to you.
***** Hello Siobhan, I'm glad you were able to stop by for a few minutes to discuss HER DEVOTED VAMPIRE. I'm really excited to catch up with Frederick and Bridgette. But first, I'd like to talk a little about you.
Do you prefer Cats or Dogs? Cats, definitely cats. The best dogs are the skulls I have around the house. ;) Ha! I'll make sure to keep Gus safely away from your house...lol :) 

Okay, let's talk books. What do you do when you're not writing? I actually do research in the field of paleontology. My specialty is fossil canids (dogs, wolves, foxes, and coyotes) and I often spend some time identifying the teeth for other paleontologists (see why I like dead dogs?). ;) Very cool! And yes, I understand now. No offense, but I'm going to still keep an eye on you around Gus. *wink* 
When did you write your first story? I wrote my first story in 6th grade for a teacher who said we could make a book. It was called "The Phoenix and the Girl." Guess what it was about? ;) I even got to illustrate it. The Phoenix was actually a gigantic drawing of a sparrow that I traced from somewhere and I don't remember what I used for the "girl". I think I have copy of it around here somewhere. That's awesome. You really should dig it out. 

What genre do you prefer to read? My first love was science-fiction/fantasy and my library is full of my favorites. I've written several stories in that genre. But after my husband gave me a paranormal romance, which combines romance and sci-fi/fantasy, I was a goner. ;) HA! The best of both worlds. Love it!
