About this author

Annette Liem - in other words, me, er, I - is (am!) a freshman at McGill University, in the Bachelor of Science program. Because of that fact, writing (and reading) for pleasure is nearly impossible. Hopefully, though, the sequel to Wrath (can you guess what it is?) will be released soon, along with a brand new original series! (Huh, sounds like a Disney Channel advertisement.) But really, it will be awesome. (At least, I think so.)

(Huh. Is this supposed to be in first person or third person? I mean, it's "biography", not "autobiography." But...since I'm the one editing it ring now...it does not compute...DOES NOT COMPUTE!!!)

(...I'll do it in third.)

Annette published Wrath when she was 14; it took her about 2 years. She took up writing beca...more

Hey, so it seems I blog only when I'm feeling particularly sarcasmo, also known as my witty (?) combination of "sarcastic" and "emo". ...Anyway, I was up until 11:30 last night studying bio flash cards. ...Fun stuff, citric acid cycle. Makes me want to gouge my eyes out.

Anyway, when I finally called it quits, I dove into my bed, eager for some well-deserved rest.

...Well, it obviously never came... read more »

King Arnold's Island (Literature & Fiction)
1 chapters   —   updated Nov 19, 2009 03:32am
Description: Inspired by two things: My trip to Prince Edward's Island this past summer, and...Harvest Moon. XD Yeah... If any of you are familiar with the Harvest Moon franchinse, you know half of it is farming, half of it is saving the Harvest Goddess, and the last half (...*cough*...) is finding someone to marry, having children, and making those li'l buggers do all the farming for you in you old age...at least, in Animal Parade. >:-D So...yeah, the main character is a girl, in this one, but if all goes well, I'll write one from a guy's perspective too. So, yeah, I guess...Copyright Harvest Moon...? XD Characters by me...as is usually the case...
Onward to Glory (Science Fiction & Fantasy)
1 chapters   —   updated Nov 15, 2009 10:34am
Description: This interesting little tidbit is actually a high school story I revamped so it's about dueling instead of tennis...don't ask HOW dueling even is CLOSELY related to tennis...but, you'll see. So read, and imagine all these battles as, like, tennis matches. And laugh. Laugh! LAUGH, DARN IT! DX *cough* Join Valen Hauser and the rest of the Yole High Dueling Team as they try to become number one in the district, state, and finally, the nation! Will love blossom? (Insert joke about how love means nothing in tennis...but since this is dueling...it doesn't work.) Will rivalries form? Find out!
Control Note (Science Fiction & Fantasy)
2 chapters   —   updated Oct 11, 2009 07:38pm
Description: A Death Note knock-off. Seriously, it is. Funnily enough, I only ever watched the first episode... So, anyway, junior Keith Jenkins finds himself the owner of a mysterious notebook. Follow this tale; I hope you won't regret it. I have high hopes for this guy. (Don't let me down, Keith!) I hope you enjoy his story as much as I enjoy plotting--I mean, writing it. Oh, and I suck at HTML, so bear with me. (OK, I don't really, but I find it so annoying to put stupid tags around things...yes, I'm lazy...)

"Harrier says the Wild Magic is as annoying as a goat. And the only other Wildmage either of us has ever met kept hitting him with a wooden spoon. Wildmages aren't like, oh - like Kellen and Idalia and Vestakia the Redeemed in The Book of the Light. They're people.' [Tiercel Rolfort]"Mercedes Lackey
