Fun, fast-paced middle grade mystery. A perfect choice for boys (although girls will like it, too). When FunJungle's mascot dies, 12-year-old Teddy suspects murder-- and he's right. A great read, very engaging.

“You could have all the crazy thoughts you wanted, as long as you smiled and kept them to yourself.”
Mara Purnhagen, Past Midnight

“I didn't avoid my problems. I just didn't feel as though I had to focus on them every minute of every day. And telling people about certain aspects of my life would only create trouble. If I was guilty of anything, it was of trying not to bring new problems into my life. That wasn't avoidance. That was logical thinking.”
Mara Purnhagen, One Hundred Candles

“Who cares what other people think? Don't let the opinions of others define you.”
Mara Purnhagen, Past Midnight

Cameron Hi Mara! Thanks so much for accepting my friend request! I'm not sure if you remember me because it's been a while, but I was at the book signing at the Books and Co. in Beavercreek, Ohio. I was the one who asked you about the best way to write a query letter and we emailed each other back and forth for a while. My writing is going well! I'm not published yet, but I've had interest displayed in some of my stories. I'm close, I know it! Thanks again for all the help you gave me!

~Cameron

Becky I finished Past Midnight earlier today and loved it! Can't wait for the second installment. Alas, you have to be 18 to download Raising the Dead...4 months away doesn't count.
But anyway, Past Midnight was great, and as someone who lives in Charleston, I would like to thank you for doing it right in your book. So cool to find a book with at least some of it set locally! Especially one with a good story. :)

William O'Brien Hi Mara - Thank you for your friendship.

Expected release date mid-late Jan.
