The experience I bring to an African-American group is my research that started when I heard a brief story about 'The Legend of Ebo Landing', which is located on the SW side of St. Simons Island, Georgia. You might know the story of those strong willed west Africans and their fate at the Landing.
As characters in my book I formed a strong bond with them and have a great affection for them.
