All my life I have loved stories, whether told to me as I sat on my grandfather's lap or the one's I later discovered in my school's library. So naturally I started writing short stories and have ever since been learning and developing the craft of writing and storytelling.

One night after a long bedtime story, one of my sons challenged me to write a 'real' book. So I borrowed an idea from a writer friend and asked my boys to choose three things to go in the story. They chose a dragon, a tree, and a ruby, and from the seed of that idea, the story of Gladius grew.

It is coming along well and will be out by the end of 2014. Because it is the final book in the series it has a difficult yet surprising and exciting ending.
