About this author

J.A. Saare is a multi-published author who has written stories featured in horror
magazines, zombie romance anthologies, and flash fiction contests. Her work has a notable dark undertone, which she credits to her love of old eighties horror films, tastes in music, and choices in reading, and have been described as “full of sensual promise,” “gritty and sexy,” and “a breath
of fresh air.”

Currently she is penning projects within the urban fantasy, erotic and contemporary, and paranormal romance categories. You can visit her online at www.jasaare.com. Those interested in her “naughtier” side can visit her alias, Aline Hunter, at www.alinehunter.com.

Goodluck with the book search!

Yes LJ Smith was awesome way back then....It wasn't even cool to read paranormals back then either. She was ahead of her time.;)))

My niece just got those. I should have skimmed over them when I got a look at the covers. I'm writing those down as well.

Oh yeah, I was a LJ Smith fan back in the day. I still have my paperbacks. My favorites were actually The Forbidden Game books. LOVED them. :)

MISS VAIN Great! You and I both grew up reading LJ Smith Vampire Diaries in the 90's I see.:)

Hey have you heard of Monster High by Lisi Harrison??? My niece is in 4th grade and she loves that series too.....it's about the children of Dracula, Frankenstein, and other monsters we grew up loving. She would probably enjoy that series then. Three books are out already!:))

Hey, that's a great idea! She enjoyed the movie. I've written those down. She wants something with vampires. I'm trying to decide if I should give her my old copies (first three) of L.J. Smith's Vampire Diaries.

MISS VAIN What about Percy Jackson?? I haven't read them but they look really good. It's about Greek Gods, several of my friends love them and they're made for junior higher age. My friends loves them and she said she reads them to her six year old daughter before she goes to bed. :)

J.A. Saare Help me out! My daughter loves to read and I'm having a hard time finding books for her. Currently she loves The Warrior series. She's also reading my Harry Potter books. She's very interested in dark themes (I've given her my old Goosebumps books -- I can't believe I still have them) but since she's young (will be ten in January) I'm trying to be cautious on what I give her.

Any suggestions? I'd really appreciate it!
