About this author

Riley Carney is only seventeen years old, but she has already written the five-book Reign of the Elements series, a fantasy adventure story for ages 9-14. She has also written an urban fantasy trilogy for older teens and is currently at work on a new trilogy.

“Once Arden said, "Why is it that one sheep is called a sheep and multiple sheep are also called sheep? It should be shoop and sheep. Like, 'Oh, look, there goes a shoop,' and 'Wow, there goes a lot of sheep'."

“Arden, Matt discovered, was a force to be reckoned with. She had a flair for fighting with two curved knives, about the length of daggers. She whirled around like a flailing tornado, blocking and striking with fury.

“What do you think, Galen?" Lady Fern asked in a sugary voice.
Galen chewed slowly and painfully, swallowing tentatively.
It's very unique," he said, trying to look intrigued instead of disgusted. "It's excellent."
Lady Fern looked satisfied and turned to say something to her husband, while Galen added quietly under his breath, "...not."

Sana (Breathing Books) Hey. Thanks for the friend invite. A question though, what interested you to become my friend? I know i should just be happy that you approached me to become your friend but i'm a curious girl :)
Btw...i'm currently looking upto you. Stories aren't exactly working for me at the moment but poems seem to be coming faster but i have my heart set on being an author. What should i do? Poetry seems not to be bad either.

message 6: by Tracy

Tracy I'm very impressed Riley. I wrote my first fantasy novels when I was your age, but did not write new novels and pursue publication until years later. I envy the place you are right now. Being able to live your dream and market your writing without waiting for adult life to get in the way.

Seeker ~ Elarinya Hi Riley! Thanks for the friend invite ;)
