The essence of love is not the car one drives, the cuteness, or the handsomeness of any individual. Some may ask the question. Is it in the giving or the getting? Is that the essence of love? ... I beg to differ; I believe it’s in the selflessness that we find the essence of love.
It should never be just an afterthought. Love is a two-way street that involves two people and love shows up when those two people come in agreement in what they want to accomplish together.
Love is not just another feeling or an emotion attached to a hallmark card spilling out forget me not’s. It’s an eminent decision to share your soul with another. There is no stronger emotion than love. Some have mistakenly labeled lust for love, t but lust is temporal and wreaks havoc in the life of one who mistakes it for love.
There is no greater sensation than loving someone for who they truly are and having that feeling reciprocated. Love grows when it’s protected and treasured. What happened to the days when a woman and a man could give themselves up to love without conditions and without fears? Have we evolve so much that love is lost in the online dating sites, speed dating, and social network hook ups?
