About this author

I'm the author of two mystery series. The Gertie Johnson backwoods series set in the Michigan Upper Peninsula. It's a fun romp through the pines. And a doll collecting mystery featuring Gretchen Birch and set in Phoenix.

My latest adventure, under my pen name, Hannah Reed, is a mystery series about a Wisconsin beekeeper. Buzz Off, Mind Your Own Beeswax, Plan Bee, and look for Beeline to Trouble on December 4th, 2012

Barnes and Noble / Amazon
Beekeeper Story Fischer has stocked the shelves of her market, The Wild Clover, in preparation for the influx of produce-crazy tourists about to invade Moraine, Wisconsin. In fact, with the apple cider and caramel apple stand on Main Street and the corn maze out at Country Delight Farm, the whole town is ready for the swarm.

But when a self-proclaimed witch moves into... Read more of this blog post »

Michael Murphy Deb, thanks for connecting on Goodreads. Wishing you continued success with your writing. Hope you'll consider adding my new Prohibition-era mystery, The Yankee Club, to your to read list. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

Great! Thank her for me. Hope she's recovering well.

Rosemary Deb, my mother just finished Dolled Up For Murder and thoroughly enjoyed it!

Deb Give your mom my best wishes for a speedy recover. I've heard great things about Murder By the Book but haven't been that way yet. You're the best.

Rosemary Deb, when I'm in town (Houston) next Saturday, I plan to visit Murder by the Book and pick up some of your doll mysteries. My mother is staying with me (recuperating from a broken hip), and after I told her about learning of your series on Goodreads, she wants to read them. Good books are really helping her recover!

Deb Rosemary, that's right, we did role play with our dolls and create stories. Such fun!

Rosemary Deb, thank you so much for befriending me. I'm excited to learn about your line of "doll" murder mysteries. Dolls and doll playing were a huge influence on my development as a writer (all that creating personalities for the dolls and making up stories for them to enact). When my daughters were little we read a book called The Dollhouse Murders--now we need to move on to your books!
