<about><![CDATA[At 19, I was relatively homeless, had given birth, gotten a divorce, lost custody of my son, and began to rethink my life - slowly. In my 30's, I began to take shape and at 38 received a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis on Somatic Counseling. At 41, I published a non-fiction which is a memoir on child abuse and domestic violence. The editing is not to be desired, yet this was a turning point for me on my journey as a writer. With my backstory in production, I could be free to write what I wanted, and this is fiction. I co-founded the Fremont Area Writers in 2008, and we have since been approved to become the centennial branch of the California Writers Club. I've served as Vice-President during this time and this gives me the ability to hire speakers for our monthly meetings and bi-annual workshops. A job that I love and take very seriously. My first novel "Little Girls Should Ride Ponies," is now available for download only through Smashwords.com. My second novel, "The Uprisers," is based on a Hungarian girl coming of age, during the 1956 revolution, is in production at this time. You can read a sample of it here in my writing section.]]></about> <influences><![CDATA[life, philosophy, Europeans, occult, survivors]]></influences> <gender>female</gender> <hometown>Columbus, Ohio</hometown> <born_at>08/11/1962</born_at>
