…but were afraid to ask. Or not. Anyway, some articles that have popped up recently:
Want to hear about how it might be my last book for awhile (but I really hope not!):I tell EW all about it.
Or about what changes I’ve seen in the almost 20 (!) years since my first YA book was published?Answer: a lot.

Okay, so yesterday, May 5th, was HUGE for me. SAINT ANYTHING, the book that is basically my HEART right now, was released into the world. I got up at 3:45am in NC to fly to Los Angeles, where I had a great event with so many wonderful readers to celebrate the launch. And the tour began! But something ELSE happened, too. An essay I wrote for Seventeen.com was published on the internet, and with that, one of the most personal experiences of my life was suddenly public. This was my choice. I wan...

I am BEYOND excited to share my twelfth book with you. It’s so close to my heart (I explained why in this post ) and I cannot wait to hear what you all think! Look for it today anywhere books are sold. You can also go here to order it online in print or ebook form.
And, as of today, I am on TOUR! Come see me! All upcoming dates are right here.

As I’m traveling around the country talking about the...

Okay, so it’s less than a week until SAINT ANYTHING is in stores, and…well, I’m kind of freaking out. Don’t get me wrong: it’s a good freakout, like when you’ve been waiting and waiting for something you’ve worked SO hard for, and then it’s finally close to enough to almost touch but that also makes it real and who knows what will happen, your wildest dream or your nightmare or (more likely) something in between?
Yeah. Freaking out.
I had a great pre-tour of school visits and bookseller dinne...

So I’m REALLY excited to share with you all the new paperback cover for THE MOON AND MORE. I love that we stuck with the beach theme but changed it so it looks closer to SAINT ANYTHING. It will be out on the same day as the new book, May 5th!
Isn’t it just SO PRETTY? On a related note, I now wish it was summer more than ever. This is the closest I will get for another couple of months, I fear….
Have a great day, everyone!

Okay, so that exclamation point is very cheery. And it’s hard to be cheery today, on the last day of vacation, when it is January and gray outside and the bulk of winter ahead of us. But what IS making me feel good is that a year ago today, I was sitting in this same seat, looking out this same window at a gray day and wondering if I’d ever have another book to write, if an idea would EVER come to me. And eventually, one did. First it was an idea, then a process, then a project, th...
