This is a lovely "poetry chapbook" that is very tightly focused on the title itself. In the introduction, Ms. Minkman shares with the reader that "songlines" are a means to find one's way across vast expanses of land" (with regards to the "songlines"...more |

| This was a horror anthology I was mightily pleased to have read. I've read some horror stories that are of the "gore" variety, which can honestly bore me sometimes. While everyone has their own tastes and preferences, it is "psychological horror" tha...more | |

| wow, what a book--i'd probably score it 500 over a scale of 1 to 5 (with 5 being "excellent")! i really enjoyed the gritty realism of the story and the characters (it'll stay with you long after you finish reading the book)...the creativity with the...more | |

| One of the first things I noticed about this edition was the inclusion of the original Sanskrit text. The second thing I noticed was that the illustrations matched the clothing and jewellery of the era that the Kamasutra was written. These two detail...more | |

“Lolita, light of my life, fire of my loins. My sin, my soul. Lo-lee-ta: the tip of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the palate to tap, at three, on the teeth. Lo. Lee. Ta. She was Lo, plain Lo, in the morning, standing four feet ten in one sock. She was Lola in slacks. She was Dolly at school. She was Dolores on the dotted line. But in my arms she was always Lolita. Did she have a precursor? She did, indeed she did. In point of fact, there might have been no Lolita at all had I not loved, one summer, an initial girl-child. In a princedom by the sea. Oh when? About as many years before Lolita was born as my age was that summer. You can always count on a murderer for a fancy prose style. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, exhibit number one is what the seraphs, the misinformed, simple, noble-winged seraphs, envied. Look at this tangle of thorns.”

I couldn't get to your facebook page (is there a new one? ^^). Yeah, it was hand-drawn -- self portrait, no art class (self-taught via scrawls/sketches). Fiddling around with the images for upcoming books *argh!*.
That looks like a hand-drawn piccie. Maybe a self-study in art class? Anyhow, thank you for adding me as a friend. =) I have a hand-drawn piccie on my facebook page. hehehe =)
Thanks for your comment Jess. I know what you mean about writing/editing/marketing etc. being exhausting! I think a degree will be much easier... I wish you success :)
