About this author

I write because the characters trespassing through my mind leave me no alternative.

Words are my addiction. I love to read; fiction, nonfiction, cereal boxes, ingredient labels. If it has words, I'll read it.

I am originally from Massachusetts and now live in the Tampa Bay area of Florida. I'm married, with 2 sons, a beautiful new granddaughter, and 5 very spoiled animals.

As well as finding me here, you can also find me on my website and

I'm happy to include you as a friend, Andrea! And I'm honored you found E&P a memorable read! Like you, I also tend to forget books soon after reading them. I like to blame it on the number of books I read, rather than the black hole in my memory! Now and then I read one that sticks with me long after I've read the last page, and I'm humbled you feel that way about one of mine.

Andrea Thank you for accepting my friend request - So far I have only read Enemies and Playmates but it was one of my most memorable 2012 reads (mainly because I tend to forget books as soon as I've read them, unless prompted; E&P I can actually remember of my own accord!). I'm really looking forward to reading more of your work and seeing from your reviews what kind of books you enjoy too!

Carol MacInnis Hi Darcia!
Just saw our friend 'Sue' today and she kindly lent me your book "Emenies and Playmates" and am so looking forwarding to reading it! You just blow me away with your stories and I so love it when I win your books! (Haven't been lucky yet, but my fingers are crossed!) I tried for 'Into the Light" to no avail and 'The First Kill". Just wanted you to know that I'm still your most loyal fan. Have a great day. Carol
