For instance, one round all the contestants will be on the stage with a guy who has recently been broken up with. Whoever can stand there and listen to his emotional bull shit the longest wins.

The final round will be a cage match, a Battle Royale sort of thing. I'll put plenty of weapons in the middle... read more »

Ed Rambeau Thanks for accepting my friend request, Christy. You seem like an interesting person, so feel free to tell me more about yourself and perhaps we can grow to become even greater friends. I, myself, am a singer/songwriter/actor who has recently turned author, so perhaps we can share books and ideas in the future. My 2 top ten recordings were CONCRETE & CLAY (as a singer) and NAVY BLUE (as a writer)...both in the early 1960's.

Regards, and have a great day, Ed

Matt Margo How do you read so many books in so little time? Did you take one of those "speed reading" courses or something?

Katherine Marple Wretched is my personal favorite. I think it's because I put a lot of emotions into it, so I'm bound to the storyline (warranted or not). People tend to like Okay more, for some reason, though. Even though I also put a lot of work and emotion into Okay, Wretched is still my fav.

Katherine Marple Has your experience ruined any chance of reading my other books? :) Just need to know if you were completely scarred.

Katherine Marple Thanks for the honest review Christy. Wretched is definitely one of my more "serious" and emotional stories. I wanted it to be that way to show others who don't deal with the disease just how emotional it is. I may have gotten a little carried away with the driving force, but... in a sense... I sort of like it that way too. :) Happy reading!

Matt Margo Yes, I just checked my e-mail inbox and found the confirmation letter! I am absolutely stoked. I had basically given up hope upon noticing that about 400 people with zero books, zero friends, and zero photos also entered the contest, but whaddaya know?

message 142: by Matt

Matt Margo Go to Lulu and search for some of the books/authors I've added over the past few days. I think that you would very much enjoy Peter Ganick, Jukka-Pekka Kervinen, Scott MacLeod, and the others.

Lady Ethereal Butterfly Thanks for the friend request!

message 140: by Matt

Matt Margo In your experienced opinion, what novel serves as the best introduction to bizarro fiction? I'd probably prefer something with transgressive violence/gore.

Amber So, I figured you're the perfect person I know to ask about this philosophical conundrum that's been bothering me:

If two zombies have sex with each other, is it still considered necrophilia?

Technically they're both dead, but they're living dead so it could be argued that they're alive as well. What do you think? You know more about this kind of stuff than me ;P
