V. J. Chambers decided to chuck the mainstream sometime in the spring of 2009.

She is the author of the Jason and Azazel series and additional dark and fantastic stories for teens and adults.

Since she's an indie author, she makes a living teaching high school. She is also fond of snakes, cheesecake, her boyfriend Aaron, Stephen King books, Buffy, and corduroy pants (although not exactly in that order).

She lives in Shepherdstown, WV.

Why the Jason and Azazel series doesn't work, or Call me a Coward

So, I think a lot about structure and plotting, and recently, I was reading this book about screenplays entitled Save the Cat, which was quite intriguing and well done, I thought. Except for one, eensy, tiny thing. He kept insisting that all movies have certain elements, (I agree) and went on to use examples, and then he, like, trashed Memento.
