About this author

Good reviews are always gratifying.

I've been fortunate in that I've never had a truly savage review -- in fact, even the less favorable reviews have always seemed, on balance, to be fair. I would even go so far as to say that they generally point out what I, too, thought were the weak spots in a particular story.

But it's lovely to see my latest work has been generally well received. When the lo... Read more of this blog post »

Grisaille: The Complete Stories of Corvo and Ardan (Gay & Lesbian)
1 chapters   —   updated May 13, 2015 06:35PM
Description: Originally published by Torquere Press as four separate, stand-alone stories, the complete adventures of Corvo and Ardán are now available together in this omnibus edition. Corvo and Ardán meet as the result of desperate diplomatic necessity. Each is a hostage to fortune, though Corvo is ostensibly a diplomat and Ardán is formally a slave. Corvo struggles with his attraction to Ardán -- Ardán, very much a product of his upbringing, misunderstands the warrior aspects of Corvo's culture, believing it to be similar to his own and believing himself a slave, despite Corvo's insistence that he is not; in such circumstances, Corvo feels that giving voice to his interest would be coercive and immoral. Corvo and Ardán must overcome this, and many more obstacles in their path, if they are to build a new life together...
"A Hope In Hell" (Gay & Lesbian)
1 chapters   —   updated May 13, 2015 06:27PM
Description: "A Hope in Hell" is just shy of 12K long, and tells the story of the meeting and burgeoning love affair of Yare'ach, an angel trapped in Hell, and the demon Lord Ayve. In "A Hope in Hell", I've attempted to creature a unique and plausible vision of Hell; world building has always been a favorite part of writing for me, and I like how Hell turned out here.

“I'd love to write some porn, but I don't know if I have the right engines. When I was a young man and I was tempted to write porn, imaginary parents would appear over my shoulder and read what I was writing; just about the point that I managed to banish the imaginary parents, real children would lean over my shoulder and read what I was writing.”
Neil Gaiman

Neil Gaiman
“May your coming year be filled with magic and dreams and good madness. I hope you read some fine books and kiss someone who thinks you're wonderful, and don't forget to make some art -- write or draw or build or sing or live as only you can. And I hope, somewhere in the next year, you surprise yourself.”

“Tomorrow may be hell, but today was a good writing day, and on the good writing days nothing else matters.”

“Things need not have happened to be true. Tales and dreams are the shadow-truths that will endure when mere facts are dust and ashes, and forgot.”
Neil Gaiman, The Sandman, Vol. 3: Dream Country

Neil Gaiman
“People think dreams aren't real just because they aren't made of matter, of particles. Dreams are real. But they are made of viewpoints, of images, of memories and puns and lost hopes.”
Neil Gaiman
