Lisa Suhay has been a journalist for 20 years. Her OpEd work has appeared most frequently in The Christian Science Monitor, The Washington Post and The New York Times.

She is the author of eight books and the mother of four boys.

Lisa Suhay currently lives and writes from Norfolk, Virginia in the United States.

Her most recent book, "Pardon Me. It's ham, Not Turkey," resulted in the actual campaign for a U.S. President to pardon a pig to acknowledge Virginia history.

While he refused pardon, President George Bush came to Virginina in 2007 to honor it as the true location of America's First Thanksgiving held by English Colonists. He met the author at Berkeley Plantation during that visit. Read more about it at www.pigpardon.com
