About this author

Courtney Milan lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband, a marginally-trained dog, and an attack cat. Courtney wishes she could say she has lived in numerous fabulous places. But aside from her husband, there is a distinct lack of fabulousness in her life. Instead, she is happy when standards in the Milan household hover above mediocrity. Her husband attempts not to kill people for a living.[1] In exchange, Courtney attempts not to do the dishes.

Before she started writing historical romance, Courtney experimented with various occupations: computer programming, dog-training, scientificating... Having given up on being able to do any of those things, she's taken to heart the axiom that those who can't do, teach. When she's not reading

Brief recap of wherewe are in the litigation: As you may recall, Ellora’s Cave sued Jane Litte, claiming that Janehad defamed the company. Jane removed the case to federal court, and Ellora’s Cave, after a little dithering, tossed their motion for a temporary restraining order, leaving us with the long slog of discovery...

I just want to make things clear right off the bat.

This is not a traditional romance, and most people would probably say that this is not a romance at all. There is so much in this book that just blows past my comfort zones. If I were grading this bo

Rose Your books keep getting better and better. You manage to write human interaction so poignantly with such realism.

I was introduced to your books with Unclaimed. I had never ever read a book with a virgin hero... and found him attractive. It was a revelation.

Anyway, I checked your website every few weeks to see if The Duchess war was out. Finally signing up for your mailing list (no filler e-mails, hooray!)Regardless of the fact I was in my last semester of grad school, and I was getting married in November. It was so worth the wait... and then to have the novella come out so soon after!

Thank you. I look forward to reading your books for a very long time!

Carol *Young at Heart Oldie* Thank you for accepting my friend invite, Courtney!

Courtney Milan Thank you, Chryssa! Hope that you enjoy THE DUCHESS WAR when it's out!

Chryssa Thank you for accepting my friend request! I have started getting acquainted with the Turner brothers and I am so very pleased with them!
I cant wait for the first book of Brothers Sinister to come out! Loved Hugo and Serena's story! :O)

Veronica Thanks for the friendship...nice to meet you.

Sangr1a Thanks for your friendship, Courtney! :D

Courtney Milan Thanks, Kara! It really tickles me pink that you enjoyed Jenny & Gareth's interaction. :)

Kara Morgan Hi,
I just finished reading "Proof by Seduction" and it was great I love the way that the characters were brought to life in the book. Especially the character of Jenny Keeble A.K.A. Madame Esmerelda how although she puts up a confident front as a woman you can still see the vulnerability in her attitude as well as in Gareth's stern demeanor. I also love the way you incorporated Gareth being a scientist which I seldom see in Historical Romance, I thought it was very original. So from me I say 10 stars and I recommend "Proof By Seduction" by Courtney Milan to all my friends. :0)
