About this author

Stephanie Draven is currently a denizen of Baltimore, that city of ravens and purple night skies. She lives there with her favorite nocturnal creatures–three scheming cats and a deliciously wicked husband. And when she is not busy with dark domestic rituals, she writes her books.

Stephanie has always been a storyteller. In elementary school, she channeled Scheherazade, weaving a series of stories to charm children into sitting with her each day at the lunch table. When she was a little older, Stephanie scared all the girls at her sleepovers with ghost stories.

She should have known she was born to hold an audience in her thrall, but Stephanie resisted her writerly urges and graduated from college with a B.A. in Government. Then she went to La...more

Untitled-1I’m thrilled with the good reviews I’ve been receiving for IT STINGS SO SWEET. This one is from Seductive Romance Reviews.

There was a lot of “taboo” subject matter in the stories, but there is also love and romance. Each story has emotional attachments and you feel for each character in the story. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a “sizzling” read.

Not quite as good as the other Mythica books but still interesting and enjoyable.

“You're smart and sexy. You're prudent and courageous. You're a good girl and a bad girl. You're a waffle girl and a Napoleon cake girl. I've told you before that you can have it all. You don't have to put yourself in a box, Grace, because you're already the whole package. -Ethan Castle”

“Paranormal romance gives me the opportunity to explore love outside of its traditional boundaries. Common themes are hunger and uncontrollable desires, but I like to push further into wounds that cannot be healed and the way love can still find its way into the cracks of a fractured soul.”
Stephanie Draven

“For a moment, Ethan’s cool veneer slipped. He smiled at her out of half of his mouth. “Governing,” he mirrored her severe tone exactly. “You make it sound about as fun as eating broccoli.” “I like broccoli… and governing.” “What’s so great about it?” “Well, for one, broccoli aids digestion—” “Not that,” he snapped.”

Me too!!! I remember when it started I was shocked by what happened to the mom, and I wasn't sure that the whole demon thread would make any sense throughout the series...I was delighted that it had a really good arc!

Carolyn Heaven Thank you for your friendship. Steamy writing.
