About this author

The Short: Bree rediscovered her childhood love for creating stories when she took a semester off college to write and direct plays for at-risk, inner-city teens from Philadelphia and New York. She currently lives in Salt Lake City, Utah with her husband, two young sons, and her beloved TiVo. The Dark Divine is Bree's debut novel.

The Long: As a kid, Bree would staple folded papers to make her own "novels." As a teen, she wrote stories in notebooks while her friends waited for the next page to be finished. Her teachers told her she should be a writer. But Bree thought only special people could be writers, so as the years past, she settled into the idea of becoming a lawyer or something else just as ordinary.

Kathy Newton Hi Bree,
Just wanted to tell you our store has already sold out of Dark Divine, and I'm rapidly re ordering! Yay! Hope things are well with you - Kathy

Angela I just saw your comment somewhere online about how the finished copy has something different that makes the cover and purple toes make sense, so I guess I'll wait to re-read until I have my hands on a hardcover. I hear that SLC is sold out already of your book ... guess I'll look for it out here to make sure I can get one! In the mean time, my daughter wants me to paint her toenails with the polish that came with the book. :)

Angela That's the plan, but it's a crazy day so we'll see how it goes. Are you talking at B&N later in the month, or just signing? I think I have to go read TDD again ... I can't stop thinking about it and I always love a book so much more on the 2nd time through when I catch everything that I missed the 1st time (which is usually most of the story!). Merry Christmas!

Angela BREE! I got a surprise copy of TDD yesterday in the mail and read it on the airplane today! AMAZING! LOVED it! Congrats on a great debut. I'm so glad you are writing a sequel because at the end I totally want to know how that situation is going to work out. I sooo loved all the characters and the mystery and how it all unraveled. All of the praise so far is well deserved! Can't wait to read more from you in the future!

Corrie I'm looking forward to seeing your books and ratings
