My name is Nia Imani. I’m 24 and I live in Tampa, Florida.

I’ve been writing for several years now. I guess you could say I’ve dabbled in a little of everything, including poems, short stories, plays and even a few books.

In 2008, I finally got up the courage to self-publish one of my plays called “Another Time, Another Place” (http://www.lulu.com/content/2341210) Writing is very personal to me, so doing this was a real challenge because I really had to step out of my comfort zone. But now I’m really happy that I did it. It was a great experience. I learned a lot. My friends were very supportive. I grew.

For the last couple of months, I knew I was supposed to be giving a presentation about me and my book "Truly Madly Deeply", as well as have my first book signing.
