Yes, I do have a couple of projects on the go - one completed and one at the midway point. As for genre, it's not anything I consciously consider when writing as I tend to go where my experience and imagination take me. This can be problematic, as I've found out with my third novel which is currently looking for a home. Apparently it doesn't fit easily into any one genre. But hey, this is the way it goes sometimes! xx (less)
Andrea Busfield Have a hot bath. Once away from the screen the imagination usually kicks in again.

"Edge of my seat

I didn't want to put this book down once. Quite different from her novel about Kabul and dove into some very interesting subjects (remains found in glaciers, parapsychology) I think it will leave me pondering certain ideas for month..." Read more of this review »

I know Amanda, not well, but enough to know that I didn't want to read the details of her captivity in Somalia. However, this is a book that deserves to be read. Well-written, emotional and heart-stopping in places.

I've enjoyed all of Conn Iggulden's Genghis books, and this last in the series did not disappoint. Fast, furious and, somewhat bloody, fun.
More of Andrea's books…
“In fact, I couldn't help thinking that despite their height, adults were just plain unbelievably stupid: men were blowing up other men; soldiers were shooting at children; men were ignoring women they loved; the women who loved them pretended they didn't; and when I read the newspapers to Pir Hederi everyone they talked about seemed to be far more interested in rules and arguments and taking sides than the actual business of living.”
Andrea Busfield, Born Under a Million Shadows

“I know most people think of spring as the season of new beginnings, when women chase the winter dirt from their homes, when the plants come out of hiding and the animals give birth to their new babies, but for me autumn is the season that whispers fresh promise.”
Andrea Busfield, Born Under a Million Shadows

“And it helped me too because I could see that away from the politicians and their arguments, away from the suicide bombers and their murders, and away from the soldiers and their guns, people were good. Afghan people were good.”
