“The greatest book is not the one whose message engraves itself on the brain as a telegraphic message engraves itself on the ticker-tape but the one whose vital impact opens up other viewpoints and from writer to reader spreads the fire that is fed by the various essences until it becomes a vast conflagration leaping from forest to forest.

"Is it possible to be a teacher and not show the path to the sea to the little fish of the country?
Is it possible to carry the heavy burden of being a teacher and be responsible for spreading the seeds of knowledge and still be silent? Is it possible to see the lumps in the throats of the students and witness their thin and malnourished faces and keep quiet? …
I cannot imagine witnessing the pain and poverty of the people of this land and fail to give our hearts to the river and the sea, to the roar and the flood.”

“I might face death any minute now! But I should try not to put myself in harms' way as long as I can live. Of course it is not important if I die, because this is going to happen anyway. I know my purpose, my purpose is: How will my life or death impact the lives of others?”

“Children’s literature must build a bridge between the colorful dream world full of fantasy and illusion, and a tougher real world full of twists and turns. The child armed with the torch of knowledge, awareness and guidance must cross this bridge and set foot to the intense harshness of the bigger world.”

Shouldn`t we give the child a true and logical understanding of the history and development of human societies?…"

I have been busy working on my second book for Young Adults, which is a wonderful work by the same writer as The Little Black Fish and deals with devastating impact of economic crisis and unemployment on families, especially children.
My dear young friend, although I have written a book for children (!) I cannot understand your comments, Can you transalte them for me?
I thought I was smart enough to take you to my artist through my book, haha... (because you can only see the cover and not what is inside). Here is Arien's site:www.arienjaan.com
I will appreciate if you also check my website.

haha thanks! I would be very interested in seeing the illustrations of "little black fish"...by your nephew Arien Walizadeh thanks...just give me the website when you have time :)
I just got an email from an 11 year old boy which I want to share with you. After exchange of a few short emails, I wrote a few messages he can find in "The Little Black Fish" and his response was funny: "whoa you wrote A LOT!"How will I ever be able to promote my book?
Thank you, Ruby! 'The Future of Man' does sound great...I am excited to read it... ...it is written by Canadian Author, Peter Hollings. He has recently joined Goodreads, so you can type him in and read more about him.
I am also excited ro read, 'The Little Black Fish' for the reasons we spoke of before! I hope lots of people have found it, and are enjoying its message?!
Thank you for the quotes and videos as well!
Sincerely,
Ali :)
Thanks a lot. I am sure you will not be disappointed (I can say this because I did not write it, I only transalted it).
Thanks a lot Jessica. I would appreciate your comments. Here is a wonderful tribute to Neda:

I am posting this NOT TO PROMOTE MY BOOK, just as information. I believe you are now aware of the millions of Iranians demonstrating on the streets and being killed and wounded. The regime has blocked all media and communications and very little information is being broadcast. I just got an email from a friend I have made on "my space". QUOTEWE ARE MILLIONS OF LITTLE BLACK FISH ON THE STREETS OF IRAN. UNQUOTE
Hello, Ruby. I've added your book to my to read list. The story reminded me a little of a very personable fish who was once a part of our family named Oliver. I'll be glad to take a look if I can get a hold of it. Also, if you ever happen upon Luthiel's Song in your travels, I'd very much love to hear your thoughts. Warmest regards and best of luck to you!
