He started his professional career in the local komiks scene in 1990 after completing college, working for the now-defunct Graphic Arts Services Inc (GASI) for 11 years. In the year 2000, he got a job as book artist for a Lebanese publisher for 3 years, then went back pencilling comic books in 2005, starting with Maze Agency series re-launch by IDW.

Ariel also pencilled the 8-volume Tomo series from Funny Pages Productions, which received the Bronze Medal in Comics/Graphic Novel Category in the Moonbeam Book Awards. He is now working with Dynamite Entertainment, finishing a four-issue miniseries of the popular franchise Army of Darkness.
